Easy to Use

You should find this drill very easy to use, but without taking away from its ability to perform as it should. The operation is smooth. One of the best additions to the BDCDE 120C is the ‘autosense’ feature which stops screws flush, no matter what length they are. This is a very useful and easy to work feature. You may have experience with older drivers where they simply seem to run out of torque at a certain point. Not so with the BDCDE 120C. This is known as the ‘drive’ mode. A microprocessor is measuring the tool’s performance, and adjusting the torque profile as necessary.

This drill will also work well in both wood and metal.

Lightweight and Comfortable

The B&D BDCDE 120C is also a lightweight and comfortable drill. It feels very solid and compact as well as easy to hold, even though it is on the small side. It is well designed to fit into your hand and it rotates nice and easy. It has quite a small pistol grip, and is very easy to manoeuvre. Another useful feature (although it seems to come as standard these days) is the LED light to illuminate your work area if you are working in a low light environment. There is also a nice display that tells you what mode the drill is on, and gives you information as to the current battery life. They are all nicely designed and the whole thing is pleasing to the eye.

Quality Batteries

Take the Black & Decker BDCDE 120C out of the box and straight away you are ready to go. This drill/driver arrives fully charged so you don’t have to wait to charge it. That’s a sly little way for Black & Decker to underline the fact that the lithium ion batteries will hold their charge when not being used. When the time does come to charge it, you will only have to wait for about an hour. And after that it definitely does an impressive amount of labor before you will need to charge it up again.

Great Power

No one is going to claim that this is competing with a heavy duty drill, but for its class it performs excellently. You will find that it may tackle most things you throw at it – certainly anything you are likely to be doing around the home.

This drill also comes with a 2 year warranty and the price is currently discounted on Amazon, so you are definitely getting excellent value for money and peace of mind.
